Hi ho Hi ho It’s off to Trek he Goes

My homme set off for the adventure of a lifetime on Saturday. He is off to walk the Kokoda Track with six mates. Here he is with Chook and Tubbo at the airport, on their way to Cairns. It seems that this three needed three days of carb (I suspect mostly liquid) loading and aclimatisation in sunny Cairns before flying out to Port Moresby for ten days of hiking uphill.

*My homme is the man in the middle and although he is 6ft tall, he looks remarkably like a smurf here.

**Did I mention that a storm whipped at us on Saturday night and it hasn’t stopped raining since, that our two year old has been febrile since Monday morning with a hacking cough to match, that our ten year old has the same cough and spent Tuesday in bed all day and by night she shares a bed with me to separate the two coughers and minimise the chance of me getting a good night’s sleep to about zero? See you in sixteen days, dear.

  1. Why do the storms and sick kids always happen when hubbies are away? Seriously though, what an adventure for your smurf! (how TALL are the other two blokes if yours is six foot???)
