She plays in an orchestra.

Miss i performed in an orchestra for the first time this week. Since starting high school she has joined the 7am rehaersals for the Senior String Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra.

Although they have only met on six occasions to practice, they played beautifully to a school hall filled mostly with parents. I have never seen miss i concentrate on anything so hard as she did whilst playing with  the symphony orchestra. It made my heart sing to see her up on the stage, realising six years of violin lessons.

She chattered animatedly on the drive home. She enjoys meeting new friends with similar interests, girls in different year groups (both orchestras include all girls from year 7 to year 12) and appreciates girls who show amazing talent. She is already excited about travelling with the musical groups next year who tour the wine region of Margaret River during the Easter holidays, to perform in wineries and restaurants (for year 8’s to year 12’s).
Well done miss i for getting involved and stretching yourself musically.
