Sunflower Animal Farm

During our long weekend away, we took the kids to the Sunflower Animal Farm in Margaret River. When we owned a holiday house in the region, it was a favourite haunt for the girls. We even had yearly passes! So during our recent sojourn, we decided to introduce the littlest person in our family to the joys of said animal farm.

He was absolutely delighted! He carried his bucket of food to each pen and gladly offered something tasty to each animal. He seemed most taken with all the varieties of chickens on the day, but he named, and talked to, evey animal he encountered.

Of course, his big sisters still loved the farm too.

It brought back lovely memories of watching the girls growing up with each visit made. The farm has improved over the years too, with the layout continually evolving.

Master x made instant friends with these ducks which he found in the bathroom of the caravan we were staying in. They came everywhere with us, and were only put aside when he met ‘the real thing’.

The daggy scarecrows at the entrance haven’t changed a bit.

We left the farm as three happy children, and two happy parents who enjoyed watching their enthusiasm.
