A quiet ending

We had a wonderful Christmas with Family and Friends. Internet and phones were ignored as we took a mini break at homme’s parents’ home in Mandurah. I will post a Christmas Collage tomorrow, because on our return home yesterday, miss e took unwell.

Symptoms were vague at first with sore tummy and headache and earache and then vomiting with very high temps. As I always do, I bundled her into bed with me and left homme to the quiet of a mattress on the lounge room floor. I gave her paracetamol and fluids and watched her sleep. I turned the lamp on two hourly during the night and checked for rashes. She complained of sore throat and fevers and chills. This morning I made my diagnosis based on the pus on her tonsils. We couldn’t get an appointment at our doctor until late afternoon who confirmed tonsilitis and prescribed antibiotics. Poor baby has been so sick today and has gone to bed with Painstop and lots of cuddles. Her temp is still high and she is shivering on and off. It looks like our New Years Eve is going to be a quiet one.
