Christmas Choir

Friday night was miss e’s night to shine. Her school choir was invited to participate at a Carols by Candelight being held by the neighbouring high school. You can catch a glimpse of her behind the reindeer ears.

It was a fun night being entertained by the swing band, wind ensemble and an assortment of soloist and duet singers. Unfortunately the MC was dreadful beyond measure and had to be asked early in the evening to NOT sing along with the choir into his microphone. He was surprised to learn that the parents actually wanted to hear their beautiful little voices and NOT HIS.

It was a pity he was not refrained from telling appalling jokes or describing in detail how to make a salad dressing. I kid you not!

But miss e and her classmates had a ball sitting up there on the stage waving wildly to us whenever we gestured with our battery operated candles. Master x fell asleep in his pram which made for a more comfortable evening than the night before when he preferred to clamber all over me and the picnic dinner instead.

  1. How clueless was the MC…? Sounds like David Brent or Michael Scott from ‘The Office’ !!
