Look Who’s One!

Happy Birthday sweet baby boy! Master x turned one on the 29th March and we had so much fun celebrating. Since his birthday I have had no end of trouble firstly with my laptop, then our internet connection. Then things just got sad. School holidays have been busy as always, tinged with sadness. So in a nutshell, blogging took a backseat and with the next sibling’s birthday approaching fast, I thought I should post some birthday photos.

I bought this silly birthday hat before Christmas. Master x is always pulling his sun hats off but this stayed on for most of the party! Ha ha he looked so cute. We had over 50 people (crazy I know) attend and all the kids had a ball playing party games and splashing about in the pool.

Master x slept for the first hour and a half of his party but loved all the attention on waking. He made up for lost time devouring cake!

I found this great cake making kit at Spotlight which uses lots of different shaped silicone cupcake moulds and comes with ‘patterns’ to arrange the shapes into a dump truck, rocket ship or train, with details for decorating and icing. Brilliant and now I am set for the next two years.

Our gorgeous little man is growing so quickly. He fills our days with laughter and happiness with all of his cute mannerisms. Like miss i said a few days after he was born, ” Before you came, I couldn’t imagine life with you here, and now you are here, I can’t imagine life without you.”

Hey did I mention he took his first steps two days before his birthday? His big sisters were so excited by this new trick they nearly exhausted him making him try and try again! Even Jacko the Wonder Dog was impressed.

It seems we only seem to get family photos at the kids’ parties (probably because I am so bossy in requesting one).

Oh and I can’t sign off without mentioning that the catering was a hit! She organised his dump truck filled with brownies (mud), jelly filled orange segments, chocolate crackles, party pies, sausage rolls, mini frankfurters, fruit kebabs, mixed lollies and cupcakes. Good job miss e xxx

  1. What a beautiful family you have – I almost feel like I was there as a party guest!
